SL leader sent to jail in murder attempt case

A Dhaka court has sent to jail central Human Rights Affairs Secretary of Swechchhasebak League (SL) Enamul Haque Shafin in a case filed over attempt to murder of Dhaka College student Muhammad Shamim, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate M Misbah Ur Rahman passed the order on Sunday as police produced Shafin before the court .Police on August 23 arrested Shafin from the capital's Elephant Road Bata Crossing area.According to the case documents, Dhaka College student Muhammad Shamim sustained bullet injuries when the accused and his cohorts hurled cocktails on the activists of the anti-discrimination student movement in front of Dhaka College on July 16, 2024.
