Small shops to remain open after 7 pm

All small shops mainly selling grocery items including rice, pulses, vegetables, meat, fish, milk, bread, pastry, sweets and fruits will remain open after 7 pm as those have been kept out of the purview of the ongoing evening peak hour rational use of electricity programme.
The government in a clarification issued in the city Thursday said shops selling medicines, medical appliances, bandages, funeral materials, beetle leaf, cigarettes, ice, newspapers and hotels, restaurants, movie houses and theatres, petrol pumps and motorcar servicing centres and saloons will also remain out of the restriction, reports BSS.
