Speaker awarded Autish Dipankar Gold Medal

Speaker Abdul Hamid is awarded the Autish Dipankar Gold Medal-2009 for his contribution to politics, reports UNB.
Autish Dipankar Gobeshona Parishad (Research Institute) also awarded 26 other personalities in different fields.
Receiving the award at a ceremony at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre Saturday, the Speaker said the government is committed to building the country as a secular state as dreamt by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Parishad chairman Golam Qader and agronomist Dr MA Rahim, among others, spoke at the function.
