Former premier Khaleda Zia's parliamentary affairs adviser Salahuddin Qader Chowdhury was transferred from Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital and Research Institute (ICHRI) to Kashimpur jail Monday afternoon, reports bdnews24.com.
His son Hummam Qader Chowdhury told the news agency that authorities informed the family Sunday night that Chowdhury was in good health and would be moved to his prison cell.
"My father suffered two heart attacks in the meantime and he's still ailing. The doctors told us that his condition was not yet stable. We are quite worried about his life," said Hummam.
Salahuddin had a heart attack while he was detained in Dhaka central jail four months ago. He was admitted to the National Heart Diseases Institute and later transferred to the ICHRI.
