SUST teachers’ movement enters third day

SYLHET, June 24 (UNB): A section of pro-Awami League (AL) teachers of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) continued their movement for the 3rd consecutive day on Wednesday, demanding the removal of the Vice-Chancellor.

Campus sources said as a part of the movement against the SUST VC, a section of pro-AL teachers put the VC's office under lock and key in the morning and staged sit-in in front of the office.

SUST VC Prof Aminul Haque Bhuiyan could not enter his office on Wednesday due to the movement.

The agitating teachers said they will continue their movement until the VC steps down.

Meanwhile, a section of the students under the banner of 'general students' formed a human chain on the campus, demanding an end to the movement for maintaining proper educational environment.
