Two Dhaka courts sent on Sunday Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal president Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel to jail rejecting his bail petitions in 11 cases, reports UNB.
Metropolitan Magistrates Mohammad Anwar Sadat and Rezaul Karim passed the orders when Sohel surrendered before their courts on completion
of High Court bail granted to him.
Meanwhile, the Swechchhasebak Dal leader was granted bail in two other cases filed with Shahbagh and Paltan thanas.
Another report adds: Miscreants torched a bus in the city's Motijheel area on Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses said the bus of 'Hanif Paribahan' was set on fire near Notre Dame College around 3pm.
However, locals doused the flame before fire-fighters rushed in on information.
A senior police official, wishing anonymity, said the bus was set alight after the court orders sending Swechchhasebak Dal president Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel to jail in 11 cases.
