Swechchhasebak Dal leader held in Sylhet

SYLHET, Dec 27 (UNB) : Police arrested a local leader of Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal from Pathantula point in the city on Friday evening.

The arrestee was identified as Rasel Ahmed,27, convener of Sylhet city ward no. 8 unit Swechchhasebak Dal, volunteer front of BNP, and son of Tutu Miah, a resident in the Lovely Road area of the city.

Jakir Hossain, assistant sub-inspector of Jalalabad Police Station, said police arrested Rasel in connection with an attack on Sunrise Community Centre in the city, a few days ago.
