Swechchhasebak League man burnt to death in Ctg

MIRSARAI, (Chittagong), Feb 1 (UNB): An activist of local unit of Swechchhasebak League (SL) was burnt to death as miscreants set his house afire after stabbing him at Jagadwishpur village here early Sunday.

The victim was identified as Mohammad Mohiuddin, 35, son of Etim Ali of the village.

Shahjalal Babul, elder brother of the victim, said 15-20 miscreants swooped on Mohiuddin's house around 12 am and stabbed him indiscriminately.

When the house inmates came forward hearing his screams, the miscreants beat them up and set fire to their house. "Mohiuddin died inside the burning house as he couldn't come out of it," he said.
