Nirmal Ranjan Guha, president of Bangladesh Awami Swechchhasebak League, died at a hospital in Singapore on Wednesday morning. He was 58, report agencies.
Nirmal, who was undergoing treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital, breathed his last at 10:30 am on Wednesday (Bangladesh time), according to his party colleague Afzal Babu.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at his death.
