Sylhet Shibir chief among 6 held

SYLHET, Nov 16 (UNB) : Police arrested six leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, including its east district president S M Monwar Hossain, from a house in the city's residential area on Saturday night. Tipped off, a team of Shahparan Police Station, led by officer-in-charge Shakhawat Hossain conducted a raid on a house in the area around 9:00 pm and arrested them while they were holding an organisational meeting, said Jedan Al Musa, additional deputy commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police.  Police said the arrestees were wanted in several cases.
