TAC hears 10 clemency seekers

The Truth and Accountability Commission (Tac) Thursday heard pleas of 10 corrupt individuals who have applied for clemency in return for their ill-gotten wealth, reports UNB.
Tac sources said those heard Thursday were employees of Roads and Highways Department (RHD) and Titas Gas.
Among them, an employee of RHD has pledged to pay Tk 2.5 million (25 lakh) to the exchequer.
With the day's hearing of 10 individuals, the total number heard by Tac so far rose to 120.
Meanwhile, no individual came to the Commission on the day for collecting 'Mercy Certificate'.
