Tangail-4 by-polls shifted to Nov 10

The by-election to Tangail-4 constituency will be held on November 10 instead of October 28, reports UNB.

The Election Commission (EC) issued on Thursday a notification rescheduling the by-polls to the constituency that fell vacant following the resignation of former minister Abdul Latif Siddique from parliament.

As per the reschedule, the deadline for the submission of nomination papers is October 11, while the date for the scrutiny of the nomination papers is October 13 and the last date for the withdrawal of candidature is October 21, Director (Public Relations) of the Election Commission Secretariat SM Azaduzzaman told the news agency.
