‘Tarique Rahman following ideals of parents’

LAKSHMIPUR, May 31 (BSS): Water Resources Minister Md. Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee Saturday said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is spearheading the government's development initiatives following the footsteps of his parents.

"Tarique Rahman is making efforts to take ahead the country following the ideals and vision of his parents," he told a discussion organised by Lakshmipur District BNP marking 45th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

Anee, also joint secretary general of BNP, said Tarique Rahman's parents Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia both were people-oriented, democratic-minded, and patriotic statesmen.The minister said BNP had worked for the people of the country.
