Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting chairman Tarique Rahman on Friday condemned and protested against indecent behaviour with Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul by some Awami League supporters in Geneva Airport, Switzerland while he was moving to France.
In a statement, Tarique Rahman termed the behaviour not only unwanted but also a blow to the self-esteem and pride of the country and its people.
Mr Asif Nazrul was misbehaved by the AL men during Thursday evening local time in Geneva.
Tarique Rahman said Awami League does not believe in democracy, human rights, independence of judiciary and people's civil rights.
He added, "Sheikh Hasina and her collaborators out of their tremendous frustration were carrying out attacks on democracy-loving people."
"The fallen autocratic ruler Sheikh Hasina is hatching conspiracy to complicate the country's internal politics.
The looters and beneficiaries of Awami League engaged in hatching deep-rooted conspiracy against the country. We should identify the collaborators and terrorists of Awami fascist. Exemplary punishment must be awarded to them after bringing them to book," he maintained in the statement.
