Three affiliated organisations of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) - Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal, and Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal - will bring out a long-march from Dhaka to Agartala of Tripura, India tomorrow (Wednesday).
Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna announced the programme in a press briefing at BNP central office in the capital's Naya Paltan area on Monday.
He said they would bring out the long-march to protest the attack at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission (AHC) in Agartala, desecration of the national flag, alleged propaganda of Indian media against Bangladesh, and unsolicited interference in the country's internal matters.
These organisations had submitted a memorandum to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Sunday in protest against the same issues.
Mr Munna said the long-march would begin from Nayapaltan at 8:00 am on Wednesday. He called upon students, youths and volunteers from all sectors to join the march.
He also condemned the violent attack, carried out by a group of unruly members of Hindu Sangharsha Samiti at the Bangladesh mission in Agartala, when the attackers desecrated the national flag of Bangladesh and damaged the mission's property.
The Jubo Dal president criticised the Indian law-enforcement agencies for their silence during the incident, suggesting tacit approval from the authorities.
He emphasised that the violent attack on Bangladesh's mission is an affront to the country's independence and sovereignty.
