Three Inqilab journos get bail

A Dhaka court here Thursday granted bail to three journalists of the 'Daily Inqilab' in a case filed with Wari Police Station under the Information and Communication Technology Act, reports UNB.

The three journalists are: news editor Rabiullah Rabi, deputy chief reporter Rafiq Mohammad and diplomatic correspondent Ahmed Atique of the vernacular daily.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Salam passed the order on a bond of Tk 10,000 each following bail pleas filed by defence lawyer Advocate Syed Ahmed Gazi.

On January 16, police arrested the Inqilab journalists, seized various items and sealed off its printing press conducting a raid on its RK Mission Road office in the capital.

However, the press was later unsealed and the seized items were returned.
