Three MPs get bail in defamation case

KHAGRACCHARI, Nov 1 (UNB): A court today (Monday) granted bail to Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque, Sahid Uddin Chowdhury Annee and Ashraf Uddin Nizam in a defamation case.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Md Ikhtiarul Islam Mallik granted the bail when they sought bail appearing before the court in the morning.
Mongshe Pru Chowdhury Apu, former Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) president of Khagrachhari Unit, filed the case demanding compensation of Tk 500 million on March 25, accusing the three of making derogatory remarks against Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's son.
