Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) wants to downplay developments in health sector by publishing a fictitious report, reports BSS.
"The TIB report has mentioned about corruption in health sector. There is no mention who bribed whom. They will have to say who have paid bribes of how much money to whom and where those incidents happened. Otherwise, we would understand that the report is baseless," he said.
The health minister was speaking as the chief guest at a seminar at Daily Star Bhaban in the city marking World Pneumonia Day Tuesday.
Health Department Director General Prof Dr Deen M Nurul Haq, National Professor Dr MR Khan, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) President Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul and journalist Naimul Islam Khan were present at the seminar, among others.
