Tragedy at BDR Hq condemned

NARSINGDI, Mar 6 (BSS): Post and Telecommunications Minister Razi Uddin Ahmed Razu Friday condemned the barbaric killings of army officers at Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) Headquarters on February 25 and described the incident as pre-planned.

Addressing as the chief guest in the prize-giving ceremony of annual sports competition of Kazi Basiruddin High School in Raipura Upazila, the minister said there were well-planned conspiracies behind the BDR mutiny that claimed lives of brilliant army officers and civilians.

Razu lauded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for successfully tackling the BDR mutiny with her patience, wisdom and courage.

The minister expressed deep sympathy to members of the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.

He said the government is trying to maintain peace and stability in the country laying more emphasis on development of education.
