Trial in Tuku's tax-evasion case begins

The trial of tax-evasion case against detained ex-State Minister for Power Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku began Sunday at a special makeshift court set up in Parliament Bhaban, reports UNB.
Deputy tax commissioner of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Mohammad Nurul Amin filed the case, accusing Tuku of evading about Tk 3.80 crore in income tax from 1999 to 2007.
