Twaki\\\'s father to contest by-polls

Rafiur Rabbi, father of murdered teenager Tanvir Muhammad Twaki, said he would contest the seat left vacant following Jatiya Party MP Nasim Osman's death, reports bdnews24.com.
"I have decided to contest the by-polls for Narayanganj-5 as an independent candidate. I'm in Dhaka now," Rabbi, a civil movement activist, told the news agency Tuesday.
Jatiya Party presidium member Nasim Osman represented Narayanganj-5 in Parliament before he died on Apr 30.
The by-polls for the seat has been scheduled on June 26.
