Two people were arrested Sunday morning in connection with the killing of police constable Amirul Islam Parvez in the Saturday's clash between police and BNP activists, reports BSS.
The detainees are- M. Sultan, convener of Palashbari Union Jubo Dal and Shamim Reza.
Earlier, in the morning, a murder case was filed with Paltan Model Thana in connection with the murder of Constable Amirul Islam Parvez.
During BNP's grand rally on Saturday noon, BNP leaders and workers encountered with police at several places in the city including Naya Paltan, Shantinagar, Kakrail, Fakirapool and Dainik Bangla intersections.
