Two-day children confce ends

CHUADANGA, July 17 (BSS): The two-day children conference ended today with a call to establish the rights of all children at the local district Shishu Academy auditorium.
The conference adopted proposals of various work programmes relating to the interests and rights of all children including aboriginals, harijans, disabled and labourers.
The speakers strongly protested early marriage and decided to mobilise public opinion against it. Besides, they also urged the government to take necessary actions against child trafficking.
A total of 89 children from various institutes of four upazilas of the district took part in the conference.
It was organised by the National Child Development Task Force in cooperation with Chuadanga district Shishu Academy.
Local NGO activists related to human rights Nusat Parvin and Faizul Hasan spoke on the occasion.
The conference was presided over by Afsana Ferdousi, Chuadanga District Children Affair officer.
