NATORE, May 25 (UNB): Two upazila chairmen have been suspended as both are accused in separate criminal cases.
The Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives in an order suspended them on Monday.
They are Prof Ekramul Alam, chairman of Boraigram upazila and Advocate Shakhawat Hossain, chairman of Naldanga upazila, also the BNP leaders.
Prof Ekramul Alam said he received the suspension order and will go to court against the order while Advocate Shakhawat said he has not received the copy of the order yet.
