Two sentenced to death for murder in Kushtia

KUSHTIA, Sept 04 (UNB): A court here on Wednesday sentenced two persons to death and three others to life imprisonment in a murder case filed in 2012.

The convicts who got death penalty are - Nazmul, son of Aahad Ali of Ahamedpur village in Mirpur upazila, and Rony, son of Abul Kalam of Baromile area in Bheramara upazila.

Rabbi, son of Ismail Hossain; Rafiq, son of Khalil; and Suja, son of Abdul Aziz of Sadar upazila were sentenced to life in prison.

According to prosecution, the convicts took victim Shohag to Hardinge Bridge in Bheramara on October 09, 2012. They murdered him there and dumped the body in a nearby bush.
