CHITTAGONG, Dec 2: The metropolitan police arrested two suspected militants from the Chittagong court building area.
The arrestees are: Habibur Rahman (25) and Mobarak Hossain (23).
Habibur is the teacher of a madrasah in Phulgaji of Feni district and Mobarak Hossain is a student of Hathazari Baro Madrasah, Kotwali officer-in-charge said.
The police sources said they suspected movement of the youths while approaching the court building. As the police challenged the youths tried to flee the scene but could not and the police arrested them and took them to Kotwali thana police station for interrogation.
Habib hails from Jhalokathi and Mobarak from Lalmonirhat district.
The detainees did not say why they were going to the court building. They need to be quizzed further, the police added.
