The US Embassy in Dhaka including its Consular Section will remain closed on Thursday in observance of May Day (Labour Day), a national holiday of Bangladesh. The American Center with the Archer K Blood American Center Library and the EducationUSA Student Advising Center will also remain closed on the day. However, emergency services for American citizens will be available, said a US embassy media release on Tuesday, according to UNB.
