Use IT against criminals: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hassan Mahmood Khandker asked Sunday the senior police officers to increase use of information technology (IT) to identify criminals, reports UNB.

The IGP made the call while addressing the quarterly crime review conference (July-September 2014) held at the Police Headquarters conference room in the city Sunday.

All DIGs, Police Commissioners, chiefs of different police units and senior officers of the police headquarters attended the meeting.

The police chief laid emphasis on giving special attention to preventing incidents of repression on women, especially women and child trafficking, eve teasing and other forms of violence against them.
