RAJSHAHI, Aug 25 (UNB): The verdict in an extortion case filed against Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mayor Mizanur Rahman Minu and his 10 associates will be delivered Sunday.
After hearing both the sides Tuesday, Additional District and Sessions Judge (3rd) Zahirul Haq fixed the date of delivering judgement.
Earlier, the court had recorded depositions made by nine witnesses in the case.
Shamsul Islam, a managing committee member of the Evergreen Model School and College in the city, filed the case against them on April 27 with Rajpara thana for allegedly demanding Tk 0.4 million (4.0 lakh) in toll from him.
