MYMENSINGH, Aug 25 (BSS): Election Commission (EC) has finalised the voters list of the district recently.
Official sources said a total of 29,15,009 voters have registered their names in the voters list with photographs.
This year there were 4 lakh 6 thousand 726 less voters than that of previous one prepared in 2006. The number of voters were 33,21,735 in 2006.
In the new list, 4,42,133 voters registered their names in Sadar Upazila, 2,39,726 in Muktagachha, 2,56,630 in Fulbaria, 2,33,820 in Bhaluka, 2,40,974 in Trishal, 2,55,667 in Gafargaon, 1,07,536 in Dubaura, 1,76,866 in Haluaghat, 3,41,062 in Phulpur, 1,79,644 Guripur, 2,11,279 in Ishwarganj and 2,29,672 voters in Nandail Upazila.
The EC has already distributed national ID cards with photographs among voters in 10 upazilas of the district till today.
