WHF for 15pc reserve seats in parliament

World Hindu Federation (WHF) Bangladesh chapter demanded Monday of the Election Commission (EC) to ensure enrolling the minority of the country in the voters' list and reserve 15 per cent seats in parliament for them.
A five-member delegation of the WHF, in a meeting with the EC, also demanded 33 per cent reserved seats for the female in the parliament.
"There are evidence that the minority, including the indigenous people, don't get enrolled in the voters' list… Their enrolment and right of franchise should be ensured," WHF President Shiv Shankar Chakravarti told reporters after the meeting.
He said they demanded of the EC to make sure that the minority and indigenous people could cast their votes safely.
