Woman killed by son-in-law in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, July 7 (UNB): A woman was beaten to death allegedly by her son-in-law over family feud at Narayanpur village in Sreepur upazila on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Marzia Begum (45), wife of Saudi expatriate Shahajan of the village.

Locals said Anowar locked into a quarrel with his wife Sonia and mother-in-law Marzia on Monday afternoon.

At one stage, Anowar hit the mother and the daughter with sharp weapon, leaving them injured.

The duo were rushed to the Upazila Helath Complex where Marzia succumbed to her injuries.
