Woman succumbs to Gazaria polls violence wounds

MUNSHIGANJ, Mar 28 (UNB): A woman, who received bullet wounds in a clash during election to Gazaria Upazila Sunday, died at a hospital in the capital Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Lucky Begum (32), wife of BNP rebel candidate Abdul Mannan.
Confirming the incident, police said the supporters of Abdul Mannan, numbering around 500 people, encircled the polling officers while they were going to the election office with election materials after closing the polls on March 23.
At one stage, the army personnel on duty opened fire on them, leaving 15 people, including Lucky injured.
