"In this connection, you will get full support and cooperation from me", he said, making a call for the scouts of the country to work with patriotism in nation building.
The President, also the Chief Scout, made the call while addressing a function on the occasion of giving away President's Scout and President's Rover Scout awards.
He expressed the hope that the scout movement would be more dynamic and become people's welfare-oriented through united efforts of all.
He mentioned that the scout movement, pioneered by Lord Baden Powel a hundred years ago, in 1907, is now spread all over the world with the passage of time.
He also expressed the hope that the scout movement would be devoted to creating ideal citizens over the decades for human welfare.
The Chief Scout congratulated 53 scouts who secured President's Scout Award and seven scouts who got President's Rover Award.
He urged the scouts and rovers to play a key role in building the country and nation by applying their learning from scouting.
Referring to their various services in the field of tree plantation, sanitation, and health and environment awareness, the president advised the scouts to be more involved in service-oriented works in the future being inspired with a sense of patriotism.
