Works on voters' list starts

MYMENISNGH, Sept 22 (BSS): The preparation of voters' list with photographs and national identity (ID) cards began in the Sadar Upazila here Thursday with much enthusiasm.
District Election Office sources said that the first task of the voters' list preparation started in Akua Union Parishad Thursday and completed Saturday. The next task will start in Khakdahar union tomorrow (Sunday) and continue until Tuesday.
The door-to-door delivery of registration forms and collection of data have already started in all the 12 unions of Sadar Upazila and will continue until October 29, the officials said.
The Election Commission (EC) has appointed 13 assistant registration officers and 207 supervisors, among others, to accomplish the task. The EC with the help of Army completed the task of voter ID cards preparation in Mymensingh Municipality earlier.
