A Division Bench of the High Court has rejected a writ petition challenging re appointment of Managing Director of Dhaka WASA Engr Taqsem A Khan. The writ was filed by Engr Hasan Mahmud. But the Division Bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed rejected the petition on November 24, 2013 as there was no legal merit in Mr Abdul Based Majumder stood for the petitioner while Attorney General Mahbube Alam, Additional Attorney General Mamtaj Uddin Fakir and Deputy Attorney General Ekramul Haque represented the government, says a press release.
