Yasmeen Murshid appointed High Commissioner to Pakistan

The government has appointed Yasmeen Murshed as Bangladesh's high commissioner to Pakistan, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement Sunday, reports bdnews24.com.
Yasmeen had earlier worked for the caretaker government as adviser in charge of women and children affairs, primary and mass education and social welfare ministries from October 31, 2006 to January 11, 2007.
Yasmeen is the chief executive officer (CEO) and founder of Scholastica, an English medium school.
She is also the chairperson of Etcetera Bangladesh, a "lifestyle superstore".
Yasmeen completed her Master's in economics from the University of Punjab in 1969.
