Youth gets two yrs RI for harassing schoolgirl

BAGERHAT, June 10 (UNB): A mobile court sentenced on Wednesday a young man to two years' rigorous imprisonment (RI) for sexually harassing a schoolgirl in Morelganj upazila.

The convict was identified as Russell Hawlader (18), son of M Nurul Islam of Chaltebunia village in the upazila.Locals said Russell entered the room of the girl, a Class-VII student, at Chaltebunia village on Tuesday night and tried to violate her.Hearing the scream of the girl, locals rushed in, caught Russell red-handed and gave him a good beating.
