Youths must play vital role in setting up Smart BD: Nasim

Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, MP, on Sunday said the youths and students must have to play a vital role in establishing "Smart Bangladesh", reports BSS.

He was addressing the annual sports competition and prize giving ceremony of Motijheel Ideal School and College in the city.

"Students and youths worked as vanguard under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman during the Liberation War. They fought as the most powerful force of the Father of the Nation," he added.

Nasim said the main goal of our independence was to build a non-communal, democratic and prosperous Bangladesh.

"Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman spent his most valuable time to the cause of independence of the country and its people from the clutches of Pakistani occupied forces. He fought for establishing democratic rights and mother tongue", Nasim said.

Addressing the teachers, he said, you will develop the students as worthy citizens through your experience and training. Children cannot be raised only by parents.
