NARSINGDI, June 19 (BSS): BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan has said Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman was the first leader to initiate efforts to modernise agriculture in Bangladesh.
At a time when the country was grappling with food shortages, Ziaur Rahman launched efforts to modernise the agricultural sector with the goal of achieving self-sufficiency in food production, he said.Moyeen Khan said this while addressing a Partner Congress organised by the Department of Agricultural Extension at the Palash Upazila Parishad on Friday.
