Zillur, Bhuiyan seek talks to end crisis

Acting Awami League (AL) President Zillur Rahman and BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Tuesday urged the government to sit in a dialogue instead of using force to resolve the Dhaka University (DU) incident, reports bdnews24.com.
Zillur termed the incident "grievous and sad."
Zillur expressing his reaction to reporters at his Gulshan home in the city Tuesday afternoon said, "We request the government to resolve the problem immediately by sitting with the students instead of using force."
In an instant reaction, Bhuiyan said, "The incident at Dhaka University is very sad. I urge the government to take immediate steps to solve the problem peacefully to restore the academic environment of the university."
Bhuiyan demanded proper treatment for those injured in the incident.
