Thakurgaon road accident kills two

THAKURGAON, Mar 01 (BSS): Two people were killed and another was sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a tractor in Ali More area of Salandar union in Sadar upazila on Saturday night.

The deceased were identified as Bhashani, 28, son of Entaj Ali, a resident of Shingpara area of Salandar union in Sadar upazila and Ahsan Habib, 35, son of Shafiqul Islam of Meragachi area of Setabganj in Dinajpur district.

The accident occurred around 8:00 pm.

According to local sources, the collision involved two motorcycles and a Mahendra tractor in the Ali More area. All three riders were critically injured in the crash.

Locals rushed to the scene and rescued the injured and sent them to 250-bed General Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared Bhashani dead. Another injured person, Ahsan Habib later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing

treatment at the hospital.
