Free educational institutions from politics

The interim government's initiatives to ensure good governance in MPO-enlisted educational institutions were truly commendable. Specifically, setting a minimum educational qualification for the Chairman of the Governing Body or Managing Committee was a timely and positive step.

We expected the current government to welcome and further strengthen this initiative. Unfortunately, it appears that a certain quarter is conspiring to scrap these beneficial measures.

If these decisions are overturned, MPO-enlisted institutions will once again face the risk of political interference and corruption, just as before.

We urge the government to keep these positive initiatives in place for the sake of education. Let our educational institutions be free from politics, transparent and accountable.
