Finance Minister Amir Khosru hospitalised

Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury was admitted to a city hospital after he fell ill, reports UNB.

"Sir (Khosru) felt unwell on Saturday, and was admitted to United Hospital in Gulshan," his personal assistant Shahiduzzaman said on Sunday.

He said the minister's condition improved and he was feeling much better on Sunday. "Sir is now under close observation by doctors," Shahid said.

Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, was elected from the Chattogram-11 constituency in the 13th parliamentary election. He was sworn in as a cabinet member of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on February 17.
