Inqilab Moncho took an oath on Tuesday to commemorate Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi and demand justice for his killing. The oath ceremony took place in front of the National Museum at Shahbaghin the capita in the afternoon.
The oath was led by Abdullah Al Jaber, Member Secretary of Inqilab Moncho. During the ceremony, Jaber said that they would not allow the blood of Shaheed Osman Hadi to be shed in vain.
He vowed to continue their struggle until justice was served for those responsible for the killing, including the conspirators and any forces seeking to undermine the nation's independence and sovereignty. Jaber declared that no fear or temptation would deter them from their cause.
Jaber further emphasised that Inqilab Moncho would remain in the streets until Osman Hadi's killers were brought to justice through a swift and exemplary trial. "Remaining silent in the face of such bloodshed would be an act of betrayal," Jaber said. He reiterated that their struggle for justice, fairness, independence, and sovereignty would persist until accountability was achieved.
Before administering the oath, Jaber spoke about Osman Hadi, who had been the spokesperson for the organisation.
He noted that Hadi had spent his final moments speaking passionately about Bangladesh's independence and sovereignty. "We must stay prepared to continue the struggle. We are ready to make sacrifices to establish justice on the soil of Bengal. We will not betray the blood of Hadi," Jaber declared.
Jaber also highlighted Osman Hadi's opposition to violence, pointing out that around 1.5 million people attended his funeral. "If we had wanted violence, we could have incited people that day. But we did not choose that path," he said.
The Member Secretary emphasised that the attack on Hadi was not only an assault on an individual but on the nation as a whole. "They did not shoot just Osman Hadi's head; they shot at the head of Bangladesh," Jaber asserted.
Jaber demanded that the murder be investigated by a foreign intelligence agency. He urged that the perpetrators be brought to justice through a speedy tribunal within the next 30 working days. Abdullah Al Jaber also announced that Inqilab Moncha would launch continuous nationwide programmes starting December 25 to press for their demands.
