RN Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group, unveiled the eco-friendly passivation polished stainless steel kitchen sink at the RFL Group's head office in the capital on Saturday. Rangpur Metal Industries Limited (RMIL), a concern of country's leading business conglomerate RFL Group, has launched an eco-friendly passivation polished stainless steel kitchen sink for the first time in Bangladesh.

This new sink is manufactured through a hygienic and environmentally friendly manufacturing process, setting a new benchmark in kitchenware manufacturing. While conventional deep sinks require a heat-based annealing process, RFL's new sink is manufactured using advanced molds, DDQ grade stainless steel sheets, and multi-stage deep drawing technology. As a result, energy consumption and gas usage in the production process have been significantly reduced, which helps in reducing the overall environmental impact.
RN Paul said: "We always prioritise bringing world-class technology to local consumers. The launch of Bangladesh's first passivation-polished kitchen sink reflects our commitment to sustainable manufacturing and reducing environmental impact. As the sink is polished using a passivation process, it contains no harmful chemical effects for the human body. It is made from food-grade stainless steel, which is rust-resistant, less prone to bacterial buildup, and suitable for long-term use."
Shariful Islam, Head of Marketing of RFL Kitchen sink, said, "Passivation-polished kitchen sinks will be available in four sizes. The maximum retail price of the double-bowl sink is Tk 4,000 while single-bowl sinks will range from Tk 1,700 to Tk 2,750. The sinks will be available nationwide through authorised dealers.
