42 players win 1st round in rating chess

Forty two players won their first round games of the 1st Golden Chess Club International Rating Chess Tournament that began Thursday at the Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room, reports BSS.

Acting president of Bangladesh Chess Federation Syed Shahab Uddin Shamim formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.

A total of 91 rated below 2200 and unrated players are participating in the event. The event is being held in 9 round Swiss-League system and total Tk 5.000 cash prize will be given to the winners.
