5th round of BPL Football begins today

The 5th round of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football begins at the country's premier sports venue -- Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city today (Thursday), reports UNB.

Defending champions and joint league leader Dhaka Abahani Limited will play lowly Team BJMC at 3:30 pm while another joint league leader Arambagh KS will encounter Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at 6:30 pm.

On the following day tomorrow (Friday), Chittagong Abahani Limited will encounter Brothers Unions Club at 4 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium while Saif Sporting Club will face Sheikh Russel KC at 3 pm at the Rofiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.

After the 4th round matches, five teams -- newcomers Bashundhara Kings, Shiekh Russel KC, holders Dhaka Abahani, Saif Sporting Club and Arambagh KS - were dominating the league securing nine points.

Star-studded Bashundhara Kings and Sheikh Russel KC earned the full points from straight three matches while Dhaka Abahani, Saif SC and Arambagh KC bagged nine points from four matches, losing one matches each.
