Former Pakistan fast bowler Aaqib Javed is expected to arrive in the city tomorrow (Monday) for a coaching programme for the promising fast bowlers of the country, reports BSS.
Javed, now a coach of Pakistan National Cricket Academy, will offer specialised coaching and expert opinion on fast bowling to selected pace bowlers at the Grameenphone Pacer Hunt phase-three programme, a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) press release said Friday.
He will work closely with the pace bowlers at the camp on technical and non-technical aspects related to fast bowling from June 25 to 28 at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP).
The 35-year-old former Pakistan speedster played 22 Tests and 163 one-dayers for his country and took 54 Test and 182 one-day wickets during his international career from late 1980s to 90s.
Javed, hailing from the state of Punjab, guided Pakistan team as a coach to win the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2004 in Bangladesh.
