Abahani coach facing trouble for selecting DPDCL best XI

Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League defending champions Abahani Limited have been performing well in the ongoing season of the league by winning six out of first seven matches, reports UNB.
However, Abahani coach Khaled Mahmud on Sunday said he is facing trouble while selecting the playing XI ahead of each match as his team contains the best players of the country.
"It is true that I am facing a sweet problem of selecting the best XI because we have the best players albeit several players' injury... The problem was not that big for me.
Mohammad Mithun was injured and Rubel Hossain also was out of the action. So it was not tough to pick the playing team," Mahmud told the reporters while conducting a practice session.
"But when everyone will back it will be tough," he added.
In the first seven rounds, Abahani lost only a match to Prime Bank Cricket Club.
In the other matches, they have come up victorious. But, Mahmud said he is yet to enjoy the best performance of his team.
"To be honest, I am happy with the team I have. But I did not get the desired performance from the guys yet... We should win matches more comfortably.
Most of the winning matches were a bit tough for us. In the last match, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was outstanding.
We won the match from a cliff edge. At the same time, Omi Jahurul Islam and Mosaddek Hossain batted well. We could not show all-out performances yet," Mahmud further said.
Mahmud was concerned about the performance of Soumya Sarkar as the southpaw could not play big innings in spite of having good starts.
In the ongoing league, he played four matches and scored 30-plus scores in three of them, but failed to carry on to a big score.
While talking about the batsman, the Abahani coach said, "Soumya is an outstanding batsman, but failed to play big innings. Soumya is also concerned about his batting.
He is trying hard in the practice session. I express the hope he will back to the real form soonest. I believe a big knock can change him."
In the next match on April 01, Abahani will take on Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity which is now at the bottom of the points table by winning only one match out of seven encounters.
